Thoughts from Tracey A. Baker, CFP®

It is my great pleasure to return as a member of the FPA Annual Conference task force for the third year!

I was "initiated" to the task force experience at FPA Nashville 2006 under the leadership of Marc Freedman. When I heard Marc was doing it again, I couldn't help but jump on board.

For those of you who just returned from Seattle, it seems impossible that much work would have begun for FPA Boston 2008, but boy, would you be wrong!

The FPA Boston 2008 Task Force is full of fresh faces and diverse backgrounds, each of whom bring an innovative perspective to our business and the profession. Over the past few weeks, members have been sharing thoughts on a variety of topics and speakers that would add to the "WOW" factor of FPA Boston 2008. I find myself humbled by their enthusiasm and experience, and know that this will lead to a one-of-a-kind conference experience.

Finally, I want to be sure to share the huge impact of the conference location of Boston. This area is the hub for the leaders in the financial services industry, as well as some of the greatest academic minds of our time. FPA Boston 2008 will bring opportunities for exposure to cutting-edge research on the future of our industry, client services, financial planning, longevity and health-care issues, and retirement withdrawal planning to name just a few.

This conference promises to be a "can't miss" event and I strongly recommend you look ahead to joining us in Boston, October 4-7, 2008!

See you there!
