Attention Sports Fans!

It has come to my attention that attendees of FPA Boston 2008 may be part of something truly special. According to the schedule released by Major League Baseball (MLB), it appears that my beloved Red Sox could be in the midst of the first round of playoffs during our conference.

While it likely means that David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez and Josh Beckett won't be available to greet each of you when you enter the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center each morning, you may be lucky enough to be part of the buzz and excitement of a playoff atmosphere during the final night party.

I'll admit: I am being a bit presumptuous here; but whether the Sox have a scheduled playoff game or not, on the evening of Monday, October 6, you will be less than a stone's throw from the hallowed "Green Monster" that overlooks Fenway Park. Our closing party will bring you as close to the ballpark as is legally possible without a playoff ticket.

Well-known Lansdowne Street, which serves as the backyard of Fenway's center and left field, is host to some of the trendiest, wildest and most colorful hot spots in all of Boston. Our closing night party will take advantage of these landmark locations. That's right: you will be entrenched in the heart of "Red Sox Nation."

Whatever you do, plan on staying at the conference well into the afternoon of Tuesday, October 7. The closing party will be one you'll remember for a long time; and the super sessions we're planning for the following morning will be the perfect ending to a "revolutionary conference."
