Welcome to the Golden State!
On behalf of the Orange County Chapter, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Financial Planning Association Annual Conference in Anaheim, California. The Orange County Chapter, with over 500 members, is a vibrant community of planners that strives to provide the highest quality service and advice for clients. Your attendance is a testament to upholding these same goals and we look forward to sharing ideas and best practices with you during this year's annual conference.
As hosts of this meeting, we hope to make your visit a memorable one. You'll be enjoying the best weather in the world and have the opportunity to experience some of the finest restaurants and entertainment available anywhere. The FPA Anaheim Task Force has worked long hours to provide you with excellent opportunities to increase your knowledge and to better serve your clients. The conference will also present occasions to enjoy the many attractions Southern California has to offer — our beaches, our mountains, and of course, "our" mouse. Shuttles are available to Disneyland so you can conveniently travel from the Convention Hall to the Park.
Take a moment to review the different meetings and events that are available. I'm sure you'll find them both educational and entertaining. I would suggest you arrive early, as seats will fill up quickly.
Dress for the conference is casual — although I would not suggest California casual which entails board shorts and flip flops. October in Southern California is ideal with warm days, cool evenings and little humidity. Slacks or jeans and a light sweater will keep you comfortable during the day. The temperature does drop at night so be sure to bring a jacket.
